15 positive cases in a nursing home in Bourcefranc-le-Chapus

Fifteen positive cases for Covid-19 were detected at the Le Louvois nursing home in Bourcefranc-le-Chapus, including 12 among the residents and 3 among the nursing staff, announced the management of the plant during a press conference on Thursday.

Among these cases, only one resident is currently hospitalized. The other 11 were isolated in a wing of the facility to prevent the spread of the virus. Nursing staff have been placed on sick leave and the health of infected people is stable.

The press conference was organized at the nursing home, in the presence of the director Mrs. Albert, accompanied by Mr. Jany, general director of the Association for Treatment, Support, Care and Disability (Atash) and Guy Proteau, Mayor of Bourcefranc.

The establishment, which has 46 residents, making sure all negative people are protected. The containment has taken place and management will keep the situation regularly informed. The mayor, Guy Proteau, said:
