Epic Games announces an integration of the Houseparty app to enable a new way of communication between Fortnite players. Whether they take part in game events together or hunt a Victory Royale, with the Houseparty app you can make it even more personal via video chat.
Houseparty is initially only available to players of the PC, PS4 and PS5 versions of Fortnite since launch. To use it, you need the app installed on your Android or iOS device and then link your Epic account to it.
As a bonus, all players who link their accounts receive a “Rainbow Fog Wrap” as an in-game gift. Users of other platforms also don’t leave empty-handed, as they can also receive the “Rainbow Fog Wrap” if they play five games between November 20 and November 26 – they will receive the item in the first week of December.
For the safety of the users, the Houseparty app will focus on the faces of the players and replace the wallpaper with a virtual Fortnite wallpaper. Furthermore, the use of the integration can be deactivated at any time in the settings. Fortnite and Houseparty’s video chat feature is intended for users aged 13 and up. Only friendly players and friends of players who are currently in a chat room together can participate in video chats.
