In vain it was officially launched in the first half of November. The delivery of the Xbox Series X will suffer a huge delay for most people.
Microsoft and Sony launched the next generation consoles this month, the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. While opinions are divided on which is best, it seems like you won’t have much of a choice when thinking about a possible purchase.
While the PS5 appears to be running low and there aren’t many delivery issues, Microsoft expects to have problems with Xbox Series X stock by April. In other words, depending on where you are in the world and how quickly you placed your order, you could see your console in a matter of months.
It’s unclear where Microsoft’s inability to please its customers comes from, but it may have something to do with the giant not expecting much interest in Xbox Series X.
According to data obtained by IGN and Eurogamer, there will be no Xbox Series X and Series S deliveries without delay for a long time from now. The information was confirmed by Tim Stuart, Microsoft’s chief financial officer. Stuart stressed that only after the first quarter of 2021 will supply be able to match demand.
While this is bad news for fans and good news for Microsoft, which is trying to meet demand, the Redmond giant avoided mentioning how many consoles it sold around its November 10th debut. Officials of the US firm merely said that this is the most successful launch in the company’s history. It also helped that we are in a pandemic and people are spending more time in the comfort of home. Sony hasn’t made a similar announcement regarding the availability of the PS5.
