As was discovered today in the latest version of WhatsApp available for download via its beta program, The WhatsApp video editor is about to include a new feature of the most useful and convenient, which will allow turn off videos before sending them with a touch.

Sometimes, the image is more than enough to enjoy a video. WhatsApp knows this and that’s why it intends to include a new file button in the video editor included in the app, with which turn off the clip completely eliminating the audio and leaving only the visual part of the video.

This button, as shown in the image shared by WABetaInfowill appear just below the file timeline of the video which allows us to trim the clip to the desired duration. By touching it, we will manually activate or deactivate the audio.

Muting videos on WhatsApp before sending them will be as easy as tapping a button.

Currently, this function is not activated in front of users and it will take a few more days to be available for everyone. In the meantime it is always possible to resort to the video editors for Android that exist in Google Play, and which allow both to remove the audio from the clips and to make many other changes.
