This legend of success was in the cat costume

Again and again: Just before the finale of “The Masked Singer”, a star had to drop the mask again. This time it hit the cat. A true success icon was hidden underneath.

The five candidates for the grand finale on November 24th have been announced. Not including the bee, lobster, alpaca and frog, but the cat was also chosen from the show shortly before.

In the semifinals on Monday night, the costumed celebrity in the white trouser suit and LED glowing eyes failed to completely convince the audience. The judges, however, were very enthusiastic about the cat’s appearance. He performed Tom Jones’s song “Sexbomb”. Moreover, he surprised his performance with his knowledge of French.

However, the jury disagreed as to who was hiding under the mask. Moderator Sonja Zietlow believed in Michelle, comedian Bülent Ceylan relied on Mary Roos, guest judge Rea Garvey, however, one of the Thomallas suspected. Fans, however, still believed in Sarah Connor in the first episode, but have been certain from episode two: only Vicky Leandros can be there – and they should be right.

“It’s amazing that you took part,” calls moderator Matthias Opdenhövel after his presentation. “What a legend.” Even the jurors are beside themselves. Bülent Ceylan immediately requests an autograph for his mother Hilde. “The Masked Singer” was an “adventure” for the singer. “The show is a lot of fun,” said the 68-year-old, who recently celebrated her 50th anniversary on stage.

As in the last two seasons, “The Masked Singer” will be moderated by Matthias Opdenhövel. The badger jury, however, was completely replaced. Instead of Ruth Moschner and Rea Garvey, Sonja Zietlow and Bülent Celyan are now sitting behind the desk. The third place is regularly occupied by another celebrity. This time, former juror Rea Garvey was a guest.
