This is how the bonus mission “The Path of the Berserker” begins.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla makes you live an adventure in the skin of Eivor. As Vikings, you are there as the tribe ends up in England and conquers one place after another there. Those who pre-ordered the game have access to a special mission called “The Berserker’s Way”. We will show you where to find them in the game.

The way of the berserk is only once for pre-order

Regardless of which version of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla you pre-ordered, you should somehow have access to the mission. With a digital pre-order you should have automatically downloaded and installed the DLC as well. For the retail version, the retailer should give you a code

If you have the mission, you should be informed in the main menu when you start the game for the first time that “The Path of the Berserker” has been activated. If so, you can start the mission later. So far there is no way to purchase the DLC without pre-ordering. It is not yet known whether this will change.

This is how “The Path of the Berserker” begins

Not from the start: Most importantly, you can’t start the mission from the beginning. The questline is only unlocked for several hours in the game.

Settlement in England: To unlock “The Way of the Berserker” you have to play up to the point where you have established your settlement in England. After doing this, you will need to go to the longhouse in Ravensthorpe. There should be a mailbox in Eivor’s room. This includes a letter from Norvid. From this point on you will get the mission “The Way of the Berserker” in your quest log.

Too difficult at first: The business is located in the “East Anglia” area. This requires level 55 as recommended. However, when you first arrive in England, you will usually be between 20 and 30 years old. So it makes sense to keep following the main story instead of going directly there. You can face opponents, but it will be very challenging.
