Dodge Roll’s Gungeon Hermits and their co-developer Singlecore Games today announced with Devolver Digital Water Guns that Exit the Gungeon – The latest Mad Gungeonverse adventure – is now available for PS4 and Xbox One. To properly celebrate this historic event, the “Hello To Arms” update for the game will be released on all platforms.
The latest update for Exit the Gungeon brings a well-stocked arsenal of expansions, updates and improvements to Bullet Hell Dungeon Climber and now improves the lives of new Gungeon newbies and old Gungeon hands on PS4, Xbox One, Apple Arcade, Nintendo Switch and Steam.
Features:
- Arsenal mode: A new selectable game mode where weapons appear both as loot in the game world and can be purchased in stores. All of these weapons can be carried in addition to the blessed gun and used at any point in the game. These additional weapons have limited ammo that can be found in the game world (Arsenal mode only). Arsenal mode offers a truly unique way to play and has been modeled on Enter the Gungeon’s weapon management.
- Store Hub: Bello’s shop has been expanded and can now be visited twice per level. This gives players more freedom of choice as to when they want to spend their money. This shop replaces the room in the center of the level and exists in addition to the shop that appears after the boss. The shop also has several doors for optional combat and NPC rooms that you can complete for additional loot. This should result in a higher density of objects for those who explore all the rooms and is an additional source of weapons in Arsenal mode.
Other new features:
- A new optional boss: the bell topus
- A new NPC with his own minigame: Ledge Goblin
- As it should be, many new weapons and items
- The dog can now be petted!
