New smartphones? Oh yeah, it happened again in the last few days. We were able to introduce you to the Motorola Moto G9 Power in great detail in a separate report. Likewise, OnePlus’ new Nord smartphones, which come with a new update policy. In early November, we also put together an overview of various new mobile phones from Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, Realme and other manufacturers. And now we move on to the next summary. Because there are other news to report. Among others from Honor and Nokia.
Honor 10 X Lite
Announced for the German market: Honor 10X Lite. This is a typical lower-middle-class smartphone that is expected to go on sale at the end of November for just under € 230. The display is quite large at 6.67 inches (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) and is interrupted by a central hole at the top. The front camera (8 megapixels) can be found here. On the back, a camera with a resolution of 48 megapixels and an aperture of f / 1.8 takes care of the main tasks. There are three additional lenses on the side: 8-megapixel super wide-angle camera (120 degrees, f / 2.4 aperture), 2-megapixel depth assistant (f / 2.4 aperture) and 2-megapixel macro camera (f / 2.4 aperture).
The Kirin 710A from the development of the (still) parent company Huawei is integrated as a processor. It is supported by 128GB (expandable) of memory and 4GB of RAM. Plus, a powerful reserve of energy. Because the battery has an excellent capacity of 5,000 mAh. However, the Honor 10X Lite doesn’t have access to all of Google’s services. It is not possible to download apps from the Google Play Store, only from the Huawei App Gallery. And this is associated with restrictions, as our Huawei Mate 40 Pro test recently demonstrated.
By the way, if you pre-order Honor 10X Lite directly from Honor by the end of November, you can expect a free bonus. Optionally, you can get the Honor Sport Pro Bluetooth in-ear headphones worth almost 80 euros, Honor Band 5 (35 euros) or Honor Mini Speaker (30 euros) for free.
Huawei Nova 8 SE
For the moment only available in China: the new Huawei Nova 8 SE based on Android 10. The OLED display of this smartphone is 6.53 inches and offers a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. Depending on the model chosen, MediaTek Dimensity 800U or Dimensity 720 is installed. Other features include 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, as well as a quad camera on the back (64 + 8 + 2 + 2 megapixels). The front camera has a resolution of 16 megapixels. The higher quality version of the Huawei Nova 8 SE can be used not only in LTE, but also in 5G networks. It is not yet clear whether it will also find its way into Europe. In China, the mobile phone costs about 330 euros in the standard version and 350 euros in the 5G version.
Samsung Galaxy M21s
Also not yet planned for the German market, but already available in Brazil: the M21 from Samsung. It is largely identical to the Galaxy M21 available in Germany, but offers, among other things, a better camera. Three lenses with a resolution of 64 + 8 + 5 megapixels are installed. In addition, a front camera that works with a resolution of 32 megapixels. For comparison: the Galaxy M21 offers 48 + 8 + 5 megapixels and a selfie camera with 20 megapixels. There are no differences in the battery: both models have an impressive capacity of 6,000 mAh. The same goes for the display, which has a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels with a diagonal size of 6.4 inches. The normal price: the equivalent of about 290 euros. The special price on Samsung’s Brazilian homepage is currently around 260 euros.
Oukitel WP10 5G
The new 5G Oukitel WP10 5G outdoor smartphone is not expected to be available until mid-December. Based on the MediaTek Dimensity 800 processor, you have access to 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a fairly large battery with a capacity of 8000mAh. Quite impressive values for an outdoor mobile phone. The display is 6.67 inches (1,080 x 2,340 pixels), the rear camera configuration consists of four lenses with a resolution of 48 + 13 + 2 + 2 megapixels. A 16 megapixel camera is integrated into the display at the front.

Nokia 6300 4G
Not a smartphone in the traditional sense, but a feature phone with a few selected smartphone extras: the new Nokia 6300 4G. In addition to a 2.4-inch QVGA display, it also offers a classic numeric keypad. It should arrive in Germany by the end of November and cost just under 70 euros in this country. Based on KaiOS, you as a user have access to 512MB of RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 as a processor. This alone makes it clear that the mobile phone is primarily intended for basic cellular services and not multimedia applications. A simple VGA camera is installed on the back, the internal memory (4GB) can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.

Nokia 8000 4G
The Nokia 8000 4G, also new, is in a very similar notch. This feature phone will also arrive in Germany at the end of November, at a price of just under 90 euros. At 2.8 inches, the QVGA display is slightly larger than the 6300 4G, and the camera on the back has a 2-megapixel resolution as well. The rest of the equipment is largely identical to that of the Nokia 6300 4G: 4 GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, KaiOS as an operating system and A-GPS support.

LTE connections are possible with both new Nokia smartphones based on LTE Cat 4, with a maximum of 150 Mbit / s downstream and a maximum of 50 Mbit / s upstream. It is also possible to install popular apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook or the Google Assistant.
Nokia 225 4G
Another novelty: the Nokia 225 4G, which costs just € 50 and is available from the beginning of October. The technical characteristics of this mobile phone are even weaker: the Unisoc T117 processor, the VGA camera and the small 2.4-inch QVGA display speak a fairly clear language. Our tip: If you want a feature phone, you should choose the Nokia 6300 4G or Nokia 8000 4G.
