Reports of hostage taking near a building belonging to French game developer Ubisoft caused a large-scale police operation in Montreal, Canada on Friday.

The area is currently bordered by the security forces. Police tweeted that the operation is underway and people should avoid the area. No injuries were reported.

Recordings from the accident scene are currently circulating on social networks. Some employees barricaded themselves on the roof.
