If you are unlucky, you will not be able to load the game of your choice onto the PlayStation 5. This seems to be mainly the case with “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War”.
The PlayStation 5 causes a nasty bug that prevents a game from being downloaded. Three IGN employees and several other players have already encountered this problem. When a game is set up for download for the first time, it may get stuck in the download queue or a download error may occur. After that, nothing more happens. It is not possible to cancel or restart the download.
According to the IGN report, this happened to two copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. However, it should be noted that “Godfall” was not spared. The only solution seems to be to reset the PlayStation 5 to factory settings. Obviously everything will be deleted from the console. Sony will likely have to release an update.
@Treyarch you cannot download the PS5 version of Cold War. It just says “queued for download”. Please help.
