Coronavirus does not yield, death toll high again (LIVE)

After a rainy day, when most covid patients in Slovenia have died so far on Wednesday (41), 1,508 new infections were confirmed yesterday with 5,762 tests. 26.17 percent of the tests were positive, slightly better than the day before, when they were 28.45. Another 38 people have died, a total of 717 since the outbreak began.

52,378 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Slovenia so far. There are currently 19,862 active cases. The incidence per 100,000 population has decreased slightly over the past 14 days to 948. The number of patients in hospitals is slightly lower than the previous day, when 1,210 patients were treated with covid 19. On Thursday 98 new patients were admitted, 79 were were discharged, 30 of them died. In the intensive care units, 195 people needed help; ten new patients were admitted, nine left the intensive care unit and four died.

Due to the poor epidemiological framework, the restrictive measures have been extended and strengthened for at least two weeks. Some of the new bans are in effect today, others will take effect on Monday. More in the article: Home school another week and not 14 days?
