Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population Dr. “Hala Zayed” has ordered treatment to be provided to chronic disease sufferers for a period of 3 months, which is provided free of charge.
That day came during a meeting held by the minister, with the governors of Matrouh and Alexandria, to continue efforts to address the emerging coronavirus.
During the meeting, the Minister clarified the continuation of the work on presidential initiatives for public health within units, hospitals, mobile clinics and health centers, and the treatment of chronic diseases for up to 3 months in advance, free of charge.
He added that his decision comes in light of public health concern for citizens and the reduction of health complications that result from chronic diseases.
So far the medical service has been provided free of charge to 3 million citizens on the initiative of the President of the Republic to follow and treat chronic diseases.
And the treatment was provided free of charge to 1.8 million chronic diseases.
And it appeals to citizens, especially those over 40, to participate in the President’s initiative to detect chronic diseases.
The initiative provided 108 medicines for chronic diseases free of charge.
It is possible for citizens to know the location closest to the initiative and the working hours through the “Egypt Health” application.
