Desktop operating system capable of running iPhone and iPad applications

According to the new news, an update to a desktop operating system has come with the ability to run applications designed for Apple iPhones and iPads in the United States. However, some of those iPhone and iPad apps will most likely not work with normal parameters in that operating system.

Apple has announced that its next major update to the macOS Big Sur operating system is now available to the general public. It’s a fairly typical update, with various improvements and new features.

But the new version of macOS is important because it’s the first macOS compatible with the new Apple M1 chips. For Mac users, this means that to deal with the current lack of compatible and optimized applications for the M1 chip, macOS Big Sur will also be able to run applications for iPhone and iPad, users can download these software from the App Store.

Applications designed for iPhone and iPad will be available for the macOS Big Sur operating system by default. But, as previously reported, developers have the option of not providing their iOS software for macOS.

Apple has warned users that while iPhone and iPad apps will be available on the Big Sur operating system, not all software may work as intended.

“Some iOS applications available on the Mac may not work as they normally do on the iPhone or iPad. For example, features that rely on hardware unique to the iPhone or iPad, such as a gyroscope or a screen capable of complex gestures, may not work on the Mac In some cases, this feature may be central to the functionality of the software and in other cases the software may be used without that feature.
