Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham will compete to sign Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng on a free transfer next summer, Germany reportedly.
The 32-year-old has entered the last year of his contract with the reigning European champions and has made no secret of the fact that he would like to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena after nine years at the club.

The news sparked a three-way match between the Premier League trio, who are all reportedly interested in taking it to London.
The report says Boateng was a transfer target for the Gunners this summer with Mikel Arteta still keen to bolster his bottom line.
They will face competition from North London rivals Spurs, however, amid claims that Jose Mourinho is keeping an eye on Boateng’s predicament.
Chelsea were also in contact with the veteran defender earlier this year, but Frank Lampard opted for Thiago Silva instead.

However, another seasoned center-back arriving at Stamford Bridge on a free throw could still interest the Blues boss.
The decision not to renew Boateng’s agreement is the result of Bayern’s interest in Dayot Upamecano, RB Leipzig central defender, also sought after by Manchester United.
Boateng is still hoping to be able to sign a new short-term deal with the German champions who have regained their shape under boss Hansi Flick.
