The CIUSSS de la Mauricie et du Center-du-Québec will be able to welcome 30 new doctors for the next year.

Of this number, the 2021 Regional Medical Workforce Plan authorizes 7 new family doctors for the local care network in Drummond.
For Drummond, the medical priorities for 2021 are hospitalization, emergency room, CHSDL and home care. There are currently about twenty places available for family doctors in family medicine groups (GMFs) in Drummond.

CONFIRMATION COMING NEXT APRIL
The CIUSSS MCQ will shortly receive the list of candidates who have applied for the first round. The organization will be able to confirm after 1 April 2021 the number of new family doctors who have chosen the region to practice their profession.
These new doctors will complete their residency in June 2021, and their start-up usually takes place in the fall.
