Xbox Series X / S: This is the successful launch of the console

The new Xbox Series X / S is officially available from November 10 and the sales launch of the new console generation went according to Microsoft’s plans.

In view of the ongoing corona pandemic, the start of the new generation of consoles around PS5 and Xbox Series X / S hasn’t necessarily been a lucky star. From possible postponements to the scarcity of available consoles at the beginning, virtually every scenario has been planned in advance. But how did the start of the new Microsoft platform actually go? Apparently: very successful!

Despite all the doomsday prophecies, Microsoft has made a bespoke start with the Xbox Series X / S. This has now been personally confirmed by Xbox boss Phil Spencer via Twitter. As a result, the new generation had the biggest and most successful launch in Xbox history to date.

Thanks for supporting the biggest launch in Xbox history. In 24 hours, more new consoles sold, in more countries, than ever. We are working with retail to restock as quickly as possible. You keep showing us that the connective power of play is more important than ever.

Spencer also points out that in more countries than ever, more Xbox consoles have been sold in a 24-hour period than ever in any 24-hour time slot. However, Spencer still does not provide absolute numbers. However, things could have been a lot worse for Microsoft in a pandemic year.

Now it remains to be seen how Sony and PS5 will fare in selected countries from today and in our country from November 19.
