Africa has entered the test race and this is the first time since the spread of Covid-19, as it has fully prepared to reconfigure all rapid tests that help detect the emerging corona virus on the continent.

The Pasteur Institute is a center dedicated to biomedical research, located in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, and has confirmed that it is about to complete the production of many tools to test the diagnosis of Covid-19, which are portable and affordable and can give results in minutes.
The institute is also said to be conducting a new project called Dia Tropix, which has been working in partnership with 5 research organizations, including the UK-based Mogic organization, to create many tests since March.
The director of the institute, Amadou Sall, confirmed that the biomedical center wants to buy the kit for less than a dollar, and also that the special set for this quick test does not require electricity, laboratory or anything else, and is a simple device.
It consists of a simple test strip that is inserted into a plastic unit and uses a small blood sample, which is collected by pricking a finger like many instruments used to test insulin, and works on a blood test to look for related antibodies to the Corona virus, and the result appears on the test strip.
