FCSB lost two important players over a long distance. Dragoş Nedelcu suffered a ligament fracture in a 1-0 defeat by FCSB in Gruia in June, and Florinel Coman was injured in the match with Backa Topola in the second qualifying round of the Europa League, which ended 6-6 and with the victory of the red and blue in the tiebreak.
