Mirel Radoi has great chances to be the new head coach of the University of Craiova.
UPDATE 19:40: Mirel Radoi can leave the national team only if he IS EXCLUDED!
After information appeared that Mirel Radoi reached an agreement with Mihai Rotaru, owner of the University of Craiova, to take on the post of coach of the team, new details about the transfer appeared.
Eurosport announces that the only chance for Radoi to reach Craiova is if he is fired from the national team.
At this moment the recruiter cannot resign, because in the contract he signed with the FRF there is a huge clause that Radoi would have to pay.
For Mirel Radoi there are three very important matches on the national team bench and, following the results, it remains to be seen what the future of the coach will be.
Romania face Belarus, in a friendly scheduled for Wednesday, from 19:00, which will be broadcast LIVE on PRO X and WWW.SPORT.RO.
Craiova today announced Corneliu Papur as the team’s new coach after breaking up with Cristiano Bergodi.
However, Papura would only be a temporary solution until the national team matches pass and the team is taken over by Mirel Radoi.
The newspaper reports that between the owner Mihai Rotaru and Mirel Radoi there is already an agreement for the taking over of the team after the matches of the national team this month.
According to the cited source, the authorized persons of the Craiova management entourage stated that: “After the end of the championship this autumn, in the representative team, Mirel will move to Olten’s bench”.
The recruiter avoided concretely answering the question about a possible acquisition of the University of Craiova, and at the press conference held today in Mogosoaia he replied:
“We are waiting for this question. We will do an X-ray after the November games”, said Mirel Radoi.
The coach had previously announced that if there is no visible progress for the national team after matches with Belarus, Norway and Northern Ireland, he is considering leaving the national team.
