2. So choose another one and start it too.
3. If you now press the Help button again, the game that started first should be visible in the overview bar. Select it and Quick Resume will take you exactly where you left off.

If you switch to a game running in the background, this will be indicated by the “Quick Resume” display in the upper right corner.

The feature also works with backward compatible games installed on external hard drives, but you can’t have as many games open as you want, the maximum number varies depending on how large or optimized the titles are.

By the way: thanks to Quick Resume, games stay exactly where they left off even after the console is turned off.

3. Xbox Game Pass

Don’t have enough games to try Quick Resume? Xbox Game Pass is guaranteed to change that. Because with Microsoft’s games service, you have access to over 100 titles that you can download and play on your Xbox. New games are added every month, but some titles leave Game Pass again. However, you don’t have to worry about a supply of games.

Important: The Xbox Game Pass is paid, you pay monthly or a full year in advance. For those who want to try the service first, there are regular free or discounted trial memberships for a certain amount of time. So be sure to keep your eyes peeled.

4. Xbox app

We can recommend the Xbox app to all new Xbox Series X / S owners with smartphones or tablets. It is available for free in both the Google Play Store and the iOS App Store.
