A photo of Princess Diana, taken as a child at the age of 6, was made public by Charles Spencer, the brother of the woman who died in 1997 in a car accident in Paris. The photo was taken in 1967 and captured Lady Diana with her younger brother.

The photo appeared on a flyer distributed at the princess’s funeral and is a rarity, according to Daily Mail reporters. Charles Spencer brought the photo back to public attention just days after he asked for an investigation into his sister’s famous 1995 BBC interview. In that confession he uttered the famous phrase “We were three in this marriage, which was too much”. Princess Diana was referring to Prince Charles’ relationship with Camilla Parker-Bowles.

“He looked like someone who was crying a lot”

At the same time, he admitted that he is in a relationship with his riding instructor, James Hewitt. Shortly after that incendiary interview, Queen Elizabeth II advised Charles and Diana to separate. “What a frightening thing my daughter-in-law did,” confessed the Queen of Great Britain to Sir Richard Eyre, former director of the National Theater, who was also a BBC administrator in 1995.

He recounted his conversation with the queen in a Channel 5 documentary entitled “Diana: The Interview That Shocked the World”. She said that at the time, when she appeared in front of the cameras, Lady Diana “looked like someone who cried a lot, walked into a room and came back 10 minutes later and – did her makeup again.”

The mother of Princes William and Harry died at the age of 36 in Paris after the car she was in was trying to get rid of several paparazzi.
