Love-off speculation: Is “Prince Charming” single again?

TVNow and Vox are currently hosting the second season of the gay dating show “Prince Charming”. Meanwhile, the couple is said to have separated since last year. A cryptic message from Nicolas Puschmann spurs this speculation.

In 2018 Nicolas Puschmann was the first “Prince Charming”. The gay men dating show, which initially aired with great success on TVNow in 2019, then aired on Vox that year as well. In the show, the current 29-year-old got to know love in the form of one-year-old candidate Lars Tönsfeuerborn. Just a few weeks ago they announced they wanted to move in together and celebrated their first anniversary in October. Now, the couple has reportedly split up.

The reason for the speculation among fans of the show is a video in Puschmann’s Instagram story. Sitting in the car, he says to the camera with a sad expression: “That’s it with NicoLars.” This was only “said” to him. Shortly thereafter he posted a black photo and wrote: “For now I am leaving, completely overwhelmed by the sudden situation.”

Bad joke or sad truth?

Comments are piling up under this post. Most of its 77,000 followers believe they have read the signs correctly and recognize the love of the dream gay couple in them. Others, however, are suspicious. They think and hope it’s a joke that in the end it would just be the end of the couple’s name “NicoLars”. Above all, the fact that the two men still follow each other on Instagram and you can still see all the photos of the couple, makes you doubt the separation.

Or is it a public relations campaign? After all, Puschmann and Tönsfeuerborn also have a joint podcast titled “Endurance Sport Love”. Perhaps this way more listeners should be won who hope the situation will be resolved in the podcast.

It becomes clear in the comments how much a separation between the two would affect their fans. After all, like the show itself, they were hugely celebrated, so season two is now similarly successful. It can currently be seen for the first time on TVNow, before also being shown with a time shift every Monday on Vox.

The “Prince Charming” this year is Alexander Schäfer. 20 men are also vying for him and hope – especially after Puschmann’s success last year – for a great love.
