The fourth generation of the Audi RS4 Avant was “unveiled” by Audi Sport boss Stephan Winkelmann at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

RS4 Avant will be delivered in the UK from the second quarter of 2018, the new model builds on the developments made to the RS5 Coupé presented earlier this year. These developments refer, inter alia, to the 2.9-liter turbocharged V6 petrol engine, which was developed in a joint venture between Audi and Porsche.

With 444 hp, 600 Nm and quattro all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission, the new Audi can go from 0 to 100 in 4.1 seconds. The maximum speed was limited to 250 km / h. With the RS Dynamic package, the top speed reaches 280 km / h.

It also comes with 95 hp and 100 Nm more than that delivered by the 3.0-liter V6 turbocharger used by the previous S4 Avant.

With a dead weight of 1790 kg, it gives the RS4 Avant a weight / power ratio of 250 hp per ton.
