We informed you the other day that it will finally be possible to switch between Microsoft Teams corporate accounts. Believe it or not, it is very useful and many people requested it. Given the expectations, Microsoft has reported on the matter.
Very soon you will be able to switch between your personal and corporate accounts in Teams
In response to one of the many messages asking to be able to log into multiple work accounts in Teams This message has nearly 29,000 positive votes and Microsoft engineers replied:
“The engineering team continues to work to add support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. First we will launch support for 1 work / school account and 1 personal account so that users can enjoy work and personal computers in parallel. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still under development and will be provided at a later date “.
Microsoft is encouraging people to do this try to use Teams for more than just business, but for home or family projects. Microsoft began adding Consumer Teams functionality to its Teams clients for iOS and Android earlier this year. According to Jeff Teper, Microsoft’s corporate vice president, consumer features will arrive in preview on the desktop in the short term. So this is the first change they will make to our chagrin. We’ll see if people use Teams nationwide this way.
Switching from one work account to another was one of the main requests of UserVoice for years. We’d love to know why it’s not yet available in Teams, although it is available in Slack, as several people have indicated in different media. We will see if they will finally implement this feature next year or we will have to continue to request it.
