Born in Bucaramanga in 1941, he was also remembered for his appearances in classic Colombian television series such as Don Chinche, The Sunday Story, Guajira, Everyone want with Marilyn and El Comandante.
In recent years he had been linked to the Santander Film Festival and the TRO channel for which he produced some programs.
As a director, in addition to remaining a decade behind the successful Parents and Children series, he was responsible for Musidramas and Pero qué familia.
His death occurred in Bogota on Saturday 7 November, apparently due to heart complications.
Reyes was 71 years old, he was married to the singer and also actress of Spanish origin Mariluz with whom he had three children, one of them, Alejandro, who is also an actor.
