When it comes to Mass Effect, the only hope for the alleged remaster collection of the first three shoots has been in the air for a long time. The remaster has even been confirmed as part of this year’s N7 Day, but that’s not all. Because at the same time it was announced that the “next chapter of the Mass Effect universe” is also in the works.
Next “Mass Effect Chapter” underway on Bioware
The official announcement does not reveal any real details about the project. The only sure thing is that the RPG saga will have another offshoot. Fans should be happy to know that the “veterans” of the predecessor are also working on the new game. It is unclear which old developers are returning exactly.
Casey Hudson, creative director of the original Mass Effect, now runs the studio alone, so he may not be here. Bioware also didn’t mention a possible launch period. However, it will probably still take a long time when we consider that there is currently no name for the game either.
Nor do we know if and how the new Mass Effect game relates to the previous parts. Or if a completely new chapter will open here, as in the case of Mass Effect Andromeda.
However, the first artwork appears to exist in the blog post:
Perhaps my knowledge of Mass Effect would deceive me, but the term “Mud Skipper”, found in the URL of the image, doesn’t sound familiar. Do you have any idea what it could be? Maybe a new ship that will be used on planetary surfaces?
What are you hoping for in a new branch of Mass Effect? What does a new part absolutely need?
