Google has been adding premium editing features to Google Photos in the past few months. However, they won’t be available to everyone. The XDA-Developers website had already taken care of this news. Or at least found some clues by analyzing the APK of version 4.45. Now these suspicions have grown even stronger. But does the premium feature only make sense to a few? Will people pay to access everything on Google Photos? However, we already know the first paid feature. You can see it at the end of this article.
Google Photos: if you want to have access to everything you will have to pay!
Google Photos v5.18 recently started reaching more users on the Play Store. Apparently this update only includes bug fixes and improvements in storing edited photos and videos on SD cards. However, a teardown of this APK revealed lines showing new premium features.
First, the lines include warnings to users about premium features. In them you can see that users are encouraged to sign up for Google One. More specifically, they say that by joining this service you will be entitled to extra features.
Despite all this and the mention of premium features, it’s not known exactly what they will be. They will still have to be attractive. At least to justify buying a Google One account.
However, some other things were discovered. For example, the app’s photo editor will have three preprocessing tips. I’m talking about dynamic, HDR and vivid modes. It is not known for sure how it will work.
In addition, we will have access to new filters that will allow us to modify the sky. The lines of code show that we will have six filters. Some allow for more shine and others give a more cloudy air.
It is not known if these new features will already be included in the paid features. However, it is very likely. Because they were developed at the same time.
In any case, Google should detail this soon and explain for sure what will be paid or free. We hope most of the features remain free!
The first effect is already asking for payment!
Shortly after publishing this article, behold, an XDA reader revealed that there is already a paid effect. This is the Color Pop function. If you want to use it, you need to sign up for Google One. Do you like Leak? We count on you! Follow us on Google News. Click here and then click Follow.
