Difficult to find at the moment

AMD’s Ryzen 5000 processors are the new king of games. The measured performance obviously arouses desires, because Ryzen 9 5950X and 5900X, Ryzen 7 5800X and Ryzen 5 5600X are now difficult to achieve. It looked good enough for yesterday’s launch with availability. In the meantime, however, our price comparison shows hardly any CPUs in stock.

Only Ryzen 5 5600X and Ryzen 9 5950X are available, while Ryzen 7 5800X will be available in two or three days, at least from one of the two retailers. But even the available chips are no longer available at the official recommended price. For the six-core in the form of the Ryzen 5 5600X, which only two retailers can list and one can deliver, 379 euros is due from inventory. The recommended price, on the other hand, is 299 euros.

Up to 300 euros above the recommended price

AMD’s Ryzen 9 5950X costs $ 1099 at the only retailer that offers and stores it based on our price comparison. At 799 euros, the recommended price is 300 euros less. € 489.00 is behind the Ryzen 7 5800X in our price comparison, so the difference between the RRP of € 449 and the retail price is not noticeable. This leaves the Ryzen 9 5900X, which currently only foreign retailers from 579 instead of 549 euros list but cannot deliver.

Ultimately, in all cases these are snapshots. It may be that retailers’ shelves will fill up again in the next few days. As CPUs changed hands for a few hours yesterday, the situation does not appear to be the same as last time with Nvidia’s Ampere graphics cards, where the first inventory was finished after a few minutes. “Scalping” probably is themehowever, resale at lunar prices is (still) limited.
