Unfortunately, the PlayStation 5 doesn’t offer the ability to move next-generation games to an external hard drive to free up space on the SSD.
The SSD space of the Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5 is more or less limited. So it’s nice that Xbox Series X games can at least be temporarily stored on an external hard drive so you don’t have to install or download them over and over again. They can’t be run from there, but it’s still a useful convenience feature that the PlayStation 5 sadly doesn’t offer.
As now established, PS5 games cannot be moved to an external hard drive to free up space on the SSD. It is necessary to eliminate them completely if necessary. PS4 titles, on the other hand, can be saved and played on an external hard drive, but not with the short loading times of the PS5 SSD. However, the whole thing is definitely one thing that can be fixed with a system update, because nothing really speaks against it.
