ArenaNet and NCSOFT today announce that the final arc of Guild Wars 2: The Icebrood Saga will begin on November 17, 2020, with the first of four chapters called “The Armistice”. Simultaneously with the threat posed by Jormag and the Ice Brood, a distinctive new adversary surges under Tyria: the powers of fire and conflagration with the ancient dragon Primordus at their head begin to emerge.
To prevent a worldwide catastrophe, Dragon Relief’s new repeatable missions offer players a way to fight Primordus’s campaign of destruction on behalf of the people of Tyria. Recruitable allied factions and a new Dragon Slayer Mastery provide additional perks and abilities to complete the Elder Dragon’s challenges, while Dragon Slayer Weapon Skins and Vulcan Storm Call Weapon Skins reward the brave. New story missions lead to the monumental end of the saga.
All four chapters of Episode 5 will be available for free to all Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire owners who log in when the episode is released. The second chapter of episode 5, Power, will be released in January 2021.
