To protect fans, resellers and employees from COVID-19, PlayStation 5 consoles will only be available in retail partner online stores on the day of the European release on November 19th.
The release of PlayStation 5 on November 19 is approaching. To ensure that all gamers, retailers and employees are safe from COVID-19, Sony confirmed Thursday that on release day (November 19) all sales will take place through its retail partners’ online stores.
No consoles will be directly available in stores on launch day. Sony therefore asks not to visit local business partners, queue there or even camp out in the hope of buying a PS5 console. Health comes first, which is why you should try your luck from home.
Customers who have selected the “pick up on site” option when ordering in advance should be able to pick up their consoles by observing the store’s security precautions and observing the assigned pickup time. Details are available from the respective dealer.
