Xiaomi has developed an telescopic lens with a retractable design for the smartphone camera which allows you to capture 300 percent more light than current sensors thanks to its large aperture.
Xiaomi’s new lens features a similar design to some digital cameras, which allows you to pull out the lens slightly to focus, as the company demonstrated in the framework of its MIDC 2020 developer conference and as evidenced by a publication on its profile on the Chinese social network Weibo.
The vice president of the Xiaomi group and president of the Mobile division, Zeng Xuezhong, assured during MIDC 2020 that Xiaomi “has independently and successfully developed” this goal, telescopic and with wide focal aperture.
Among its biggest advantages, Xiaomi’s telescopic lens allows for the camera captures 300 percent more light than current mobile cameras.
It also introduces a new anti-shake technology which produces a more stable image and increases 20 percent definition, as explained by the manufacturer.
In the video shared on Weibo, Xiaomi has also shown the possibilities of the telescopic camera in terms of focusing since then Allows you to manually switch from foreground details in macro mode to an “infinity” mode that focuses on the background.
