The Epic Games Store has announced a new free game for Thursday. As a replacement for Wargame: Red Dragon, which has to be postponed, players can now brush up on Dungeons 3 for free.
The Epic Games Store will have a different free game than the one announced this week. The game’s distribution platform announced via Twitter that originally planned Wargame: Red Dragon will not be available as a free version on Thursday. Instead of this title, however, the Epic Games Store will be giving away the full version of the dungeon-building game Dungeons 3. According to the developers, Wargame: Red Dragon will be postponed, which is why it will not be made available for free to users of the Epic Games Store right now.
Epic Games: Dungeons 3 as a replacement
The expansion game Dungeons 3 will then be available as a free game from the Epic Games Store from November 5th. The title is likely to go live around 5pm. Dungeons 3 can then be linked to a player profile in the Epic Games Store for free until November 12. After that you can keep the game permanently and play without limits.
In Dungeons 3, players take on the role of a dungeon master and must build an underground dungeon with orcs, goblins, goblins, and undead. So far the gameplay is reminiscent of the strategy classic Dungeon Keeper. However, players can also send their creatures to the overworld and control them there using the RTS controls. Dungeons 3 offers a single player campaign but can also be enjoyed in multiplayer mode.
Age of Empires 3 Definitive Edition: all the innovations presented
Whether and when Wargame: Red Dragon will be presented as a free game is still unknown. The next free game is expected to be announced on Thursday. The Epic Games Store plans to give away at least one PC game for free to users every week until the end of the year.
