What happened? In the last few days, an image of an email has been shot. It said that the release of PlayStation 5 had been brought forward to November 12 and that the delivery of the order would begin soon. As a result, many people wrote to Media Markt on different channels to find out if it was really true.
Just post a fake: This is how a GamePro reader contacted us on Facebook. He had written to the electronics retailer’s Facebook page specifically in response to the email. However, Media Markt’s response was that nothing has changed with the release of PS5 and the console will be out on November 19th.
At the same time Gameswirtschaft also made a request to Media Markt. There, too, a spokesperson for the retailer confirmed that the screenshot looks authentic but should be a fake. Delivery will take place on November 19th, as Sony planned.
It is therefore clear that the alleged mail is just a Photoshop fake. As announced, it will take another 15 days for the PlayStation 5 to appear on November 19th. Just recently, an employee of the UK retailer Game caused a sensation due to the ongoing lockdown.
