Powercolor presented a Radeon RX 6800 and a Radeon RX 6800 XT. Both cases are reference graphics cards, but RDNA2-based Red Devil cards are probably only a matter of time.
The Radeon RX-6000 series introduced last week is gradually moving closer to retail. After Asrock, Powercolor has now also presented a Radeon RX 6800 and a Radeon RX 6800 XT in the reference design. In principle, therefore, the design already presented by AMD with two 8-pin connections, three fans, silver backplate and a cooling solution two or two and a half slots high.
Powercolor provides the typical boost for both cards (game clocks) at 1,815 and 2,015 MHz, which has already been announced by AMD. The base clock is 1,700 and 1,825 MHz, the maximum boost is 2,105 and 2,250 MHz. The higher values in any case refer to the XT variant.
Custom projects apparently on the way
Powercolor recommends a 650 watt power supply for the Radeon RX 6800, while the XT variant should even be a 750 watt model. As usual, both the Radeon RX 6800 and 6800 XT are equipped with 16 GiByte GDDR6 memory. For comparison: the Geforce RTX 3070 has 8 GiB GDDR6 and the RTX 3080 10 GiByte, but there is GDDR6X.

Incidentally, Powercolor had already presented a teaser for a new Red Devil. Unfortunately, the details are not yet available, except perhaps the rough aspect of the three-fan design. Maybe you’ll learn more about the manufacturer’s custom models when the Radeon RX 6800 (XT) is released on November 15th. Asus in particular is already ahead in this regard. Various custom models had already been unveiled to the public there, including an Asus ROG Strix LC Radeon RX 6800 XT OC Edition with compact water cooler.
