Two of the professors from UABC’s Faculty of Health Sciences (ECS) have joined the first Postgraduate Course in Lifestyle Medicine, a 140-hour postgraduate course organized by the Ricardo Palma de Lima University, Peru. Latin American Association of Lifestyle Medicine (Lalma).

Patricia Radilla Chvez, director of ECS Campus Ensenada, explained that it was the Faculty of Human Medicine of the Ricardo Palma University that contacted the UABC to request the membership of Fabiola Flores Monsivis, specialist in internal medicine, and Jorge Castillo, maxillofacial surgeon and chef, within the international teachers of the course.

I say that the experience of ECS Lifestyle Medicine has allowed the goals of UABC’s home internationalization program to grow strongly and directly in other countries with common interests with this new trend. professional practice, such as the cases of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica and Peru, to name but a few.

Strengthening higher education and research in thematic areas related to education, the humanities, the social sciences and the exact sciences, are the guidelines of the Internationalization at Home program, which have been explored since the first approaches with the Ricardo University. Palma, I commented.

Radilla Chvez pointed out that there is a growing interest among UABC students to learn more and in more detail about this type of medicine based on scientific evidence, as it has been demonstrated for some years, in several research centers and training, the complete treatment of chronic degenerative diseases in the global environment and with application to the reality of our country.
