The PS5 controller works on PC and Android, but with limitations

The countdown continues for the long-awaited launch of the new Sony console. PlayStation 5, which also features a digital version, will arrive on November 19.

But some of the most influential people in this industry have already started receiving a test model and thus revealed some interesting details. According to youtuber Austin Evans, the PS5 controller works on both PC and Android devices. However, it loses some of the main features.

There are only three weeks left in the world to get your hands on the PlayStation 5. The new Sony console will cost € 499 and the digital version will cost € 399.  But the Japanese brand will also launch the following set of accessories for PS5:

HD video camera with dual lens to capture 1080p and built-in support so players can film and stream their epic moments in the game: € 59.99

PS5 DualSense controller works on PC and Android, but loses resources
Some gaming experts have already started receiving their PlayStation 5 trial version, as well as the DualSense controller.  One of those "lucky ones" is youtuber Austin Evans.
According to Evans, the PlayStation 5 controller can also be used on PCs and Android devices, right out of the box and with no extra "scams".



However, the operation is not perfect and has some limitations.  According to the youtuber, whether connected to a computer (via cable) or an Android smartphone (via Bluetooth), the DualSense remote loses some of its main features, such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
Evans even managed to use the controller to play Forza via Xbox Game Streaming on Android.  However, it's interesting to note that he also tried using DualSense on the Xbox Series X but, as expected, it didn't work.  The equipment is also not supported on PlayStation 4, it is only recognized as a microphone.
So for consoles, this controller is only compatible with PlayStation 5. And there are no predictions for firmware updates to change compatibility.

In the video, the youtuber reveals even more details, such as that the remote has a texture in its construction, in order to become more comfortable on the hands.  And interestingly, every detail of the texture is the design of the geometric figures of the DualSense buttons.
Evans even opens the remote to show its insides.

There is some difficulty in opening the DualSense housing and some of it even starts with this process.  Evans doesn't give much detail, but with the control open you can see the dimensions of the equipment's innovative vibration system.
