The CoinPayments payment company has created an integration for Shopify, one of the world's leading eCommerce platforms, to allow merchants to accept cryptocurrencies as payment for purchased goods.
This links a list of hundreds of other payment gateways provided by Shopify.

Since December 2017 Bitcoin has had a huge collapse and has not yet managed to return to the race of bulls that many have asked for.
However, many supporters of the block chain and cryptographic currency are still firmly convinced that they have a future as a key payment system.
The partnership has received a positive reception from the enthusiast of the encryption, who are happy with the progress made by blockchain technology in e-commerce.
Similar to Shopify store owners, sellers on the Magento 2 platform can also start receiving cryptocurrency payments by linking their stores to the Waves blockchain platform using the free Waves Crypto Payments extension.

Meanwhile, Amazon and eBay market leaders have yet to announce their plans for cryptographic payments.
Amazon has reportedly signed an agreement with the blocker software company ConsenSys while eBay is considering adding more options to its new Adyen payment platform.
One of the main problems with crypto and eCommerce is the current currency volatility. It has been seen a number of times over the years that Bitcoin can lose more than half its value and then regain it again just as quickly.
