LONDON (Reuters) – Bitcoin fell to 7% on Friday
The largest and most well-known cryptocurrency in the world fell to $ 3,920.35 in late-morning trading, to a September 2017 low of $ 3,474.73 hit Sunday. Other cryptocurrencies, including the Ethereum ether and Ripple XRP, have weakened.
Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have been teased in recent weeks, with analysts citing greater US regulatory control and a delay of up to January 2019 of Bakkt's long-awaited bitcoin futures launch, the cryptographic platform Intercontinental Exchange has fueled the crisis.
