Five million people can now say goodbye to the traditional fiat and use XRP to pay their bills
BitPinas, a philippine cryptocurrency news site, has confirmed that XRP is now available for use on the cryptocurrency platform coins.ph.
The site allows users in the Philippines to pay their bills directly in cryptocurrency. The site was launched in 2014 and says it currently has 5 million users, with plans to build its customer base to 20 million by 2020. The company also offers Bitcoin, Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash.
So far, XRP has made its debut on the company's Android app.
The news comes after another big step forward in the search for mainstream XRP adoption.
XRP hodlers are now able to use the Wirex Visa card to pay for everyday items. Only a few hours after activating the option, users have collectively transferred millions of dollars of XRP and started spending them on everyday items.
