Prepare the 8K
You may not have 8K TV at home and you probably have enough to have one, but at least now you can tell your living room is ready for it. This is exactly what Xiaomi offers with the new Mi Box 4S Pro, a multimedia player with HDMI 2.1 output to enjoy the maximum resolution that can be offered on the market today.
Unless you have a Canon R5, it will be quite difficult to enjoy a lot of content at that resolution, but hey, better ignore it than fail in a few months. This new version of the famous player of the brand will be able to reproduce content in 8K resolution, thanks to the processor that already incorporates the HDMI 2.1 video output, a connector that you will necessarily need to reach that resolution (in addition to the appropriate HDMI cable).
The equipment is completed with 16 GB of storage and 2 GB of RAM, including a Bluetooth remote control with voice commands. At the moment these are the confirmed specs, and although it doesn’t make us much more guess that it will be a fairly complete and capable device, we would like to know the full list of specs to find out the supported formats and other details that will interest the most demanding in the world. From China to China
As expected, the device will initially launch in China on November 5th with a price tag of 399 yuan (about 50 euros at the exchange rate), and will arrive accompanied by the MIUI operating system (no trace of Android TV). Its price is undoubtedly an extremely tempting bet, given that the lower version, the Mi Box 4S with 4K playback and 8 GB of internal memory, currently stands at 40 euros (in the Asian market).
We will have to wait for Xiaomi to comment on a possible international distribution, but given the popularity of the device, it may not take too long to do so. Sure, is there an 8K market in Europe or is it a device designed specifically for Asia?
