Caldas Territorial Health Directorate reported 633 new cases of covid-19 this Friday, the highest number of one-day infections in the department so far during the pandemic.
In addition, eight coronavirus deaths have been reported: 5 from Manizales, 1 from Anserma, 1 from La Dorada and 1 from Palestine.
Therefore, the department adds 16,053 confirmed cases, of which 7,074 have recovered, 8,617 remain active and 316 have died.
At the moment 8,496 are recovering at home, 37 are hospitalized and 84 are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This Friday 972 samples were processed.
The new cases are in: Anserma (7), Aranzazu (1), Chinchiná (14), La Dorada (16), Manizales (484), Manzanares (5), Marmato (3), Marquetalia (1), Marulanda (10 ), Neira (5), Pácora (1), Palestine (2), Riosucio (3), Salamina (1), Samaná (4), San José (2), Supía (7), Villamaría (65) and Viterbo ( 2).
