35 years of Windows: the operating system with which Microsoft popularized the PC

In 1985 Microsoft first introduced a graphical user interface for its MS-DOS environment under the name Microsoft Windows 1.0. 35 years later, the Windows brand is known to all households and hardly any office PC can do without Windows. Microsoft has modeled the desktop computer like no other company, even with intermediate errors.
