The dancehall and reggae band Seeed won the award for best band at the »1Live Krone« radio award. With a video message from their home office, the musicians (“Dickes B”) thanked their fans on Saturday for voting them in advance.
Singer Peter Fox gave a presidential-style speech. In it he thanked the broadcasters for having broadcast the music of Seeed “as far as the Lippe district”. The multi-member band originally from Berlin.
In 2013 they had already won the award for best band at »1Live Krone«. Giant Rooks, Leoniden, Milky Chance and Von Wegen Lisbeth were also nominated in the category.
LEA and Fynn Kliemann are the best artists
Pop singer LEA was awarded as best artist and Fynn Kliemann as best artist. LEA was visibly nervous during her acceptance speech. “I wasn’t expecting anything,” said the winner. She doesn’t care about streaming numbers. She only cares about making good music. In its category it prevailed over Amilli, Juju, Loredana and Mathea.
Do-it-yourself artist and musician Fynn Kliemann told from his workshop via video. Kliemann, who is also gifted with craftsmanship and went into mask making during the first wave of Corona, was very happy with the crown in the Plexiglas sphere. Best Artist – “That this is me, of all the people out there, is just amazing,” said the 32-year-old. In 2018 he was hailed as the best newcomer to 1Live. This time around Clueso, Mark Forster, Joris and Nico Santos were also nominated.
The awards ceremony took place this year without a gala. It was broadcast live on WDR radio »1Live« and streamed over the Internet.
