Lugano focuses on the defensive after opening the goal

Mijat Maric scored the decisive goal for the Lugano team in the 11th minute. After a foul by Elton Monteiro on Numa Lavanchy, the defender converted the penalty to 1-0. As a result, the guests focused primarily on disciplined defense. However, their lives were made easier by a largely uninspired appearance from the Lausanne team.

Zekhnini fails to Baumann

The hosts had the best chance to equalize in the 52nd minute: after a cross from the left, Rafik Zekhnini put the ball into the goal. Lugano goalkeeper Noam Baumann made a strong save. Despite the great efforts, Giorgio Contini’s team found no means against a well-defended opponent.
