According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the number of employees employed last month was 27.88 million, down 421,000 from the same month last year.

It has been down for eight consecutive months since last March, when 195,000 people fell.

It is the first time since the global financial crisis in 2009 that the decline has been recorded for the eighth consecutive month.

The decline was the highest since April’s 476,000, a trend that expanded for the second month.

By sector, the number of people in the housing and restaurant sector fell by 227,000, showing the largest decline since last month.

Wholesale and retail trade was followed by 188,000 and the education services sector fell by 103,000.

On the other hand, the number of employees has increased in sectors such as public administration, health and social care services and construction.

Based on age, the number of 375,000 employed persons over the age of 60 has only increased and the rest of the age groups have decreased.

Among these, between the ages of 15 and 29, the employment rate of young people registered 44.3%, down by 2 percentage points compared to a year ago.

Last month, the number of unemployed reached 1028,000, up 164,000 from the same month last year, reaching 1 million for the second consecutive month.

The unemployment rate rose 0.7 percentage points to 3.7%, the highest since 2000 in the same month.

The number of people who gave up looking for work was 617,000, up 112,000 from the same month last year.
