The weekend before Christmas Eve seems to have brought with it the Christmas spirit as XRP, Ethereum and Litecoin become the biggest gains in the top 10 cryptocurrencies.
XRP, the second largest cryptocurrency, increased by as much as 16% at the time of writing and its prices rose to $ 0.42 and market capitalization followed its lead to reach $ 17.43 billion , becoming the biggest gain in the top 10 cryptocurrencies.
Prices for XRPs were traded sideways and in a constant position in the range of $ 0.36 to $ 0.38 for most of the 24-hour time period. On December 24th, 7:24 UTC, prices broke the trend and reached $ 0.39, after which prices fell and started a rally that brought prices to $ 0.42. The event decided to stop and continued and reached an all-time high of $ 0.432.
The 24-hour trading volume has reached a whopping $ 1 billion, and most of the trading volume is provided by a Japanese exchange Bitbank through the XRP / JPY exchange pair.

Litecoin became the third largest gain of the last week of December 2018, with a gain of 11.39% just below Ethereum. The price of LTC was $ 36.43 with a market capitalization of $ 2.17 billion.
LTC has had a rocky journey with massive volatility in the 24-hour time frame. Prices started trading at $ 32.96 and reached a low of $ 32.69 in a couple of hours on December 23rd. Prices on their roller coasters made a couple of ups and downs.
The high points of LTC's journey over the 24 hours were $ 33.75, $ 34.15, $ 35.54 and finally reached a record high of $ 36.52.
