Xbox and Playstation: cat food instead of consoles and long waiting times

[ad_1]

The presale of the Xbox Series X and S and the Playstation 5 had just begun when the game consoles were sold out. Now Xbox Chief Financial Officer Tim Stuart reports to “gamestar.de” about delivery bottlenecks. Stuart expects the delays to extend into the second quarter of 2021, from April to June. Xbox hopes to be able to meet demand again thereafter. Additionally, Xbox boss Phil Spencer apologizes for the delivery bottlenecks in an interview with “Dropped Frames”.

But even with the Playstation 5, deliveries are not going as expected. Amazon has now sent out the first packages, which should actually contain pre-ordered consoles. The sale started on November 19th, as you can read here. But the buyers were bitterly disappointed, as reported by “nau.ch”. Instead of a Playstation 5 there were Nerf guns, deep fryers, massagers, bags of rice or even cat food delivered. Some consumers did not receive any packages, although the delivery status was shown in the user account as “done”. Amazon said interested people should contact customer support.

The Xbox Series S and X are officially on sale from November 10, although there are currently bottlenecks in deliveries. You can learn more about the two consoles here.
