Naughty Dog is having a lot of fun with his scripts. After Uncharted filming began, we now have confirmation of a The Last of Us series.

Even if we are in a pandemic, the big studios continue to have ambitious projects and find the most efficient solutions to continue shooting films and series that have entered standby. The latest good news is for The Last of Us fans.

The game created by Naughty Dog exclusively for PlayStation consoles will enjoy a serialization on HBO. The Last of Us was originally released on PlayStation 3, with a remastered version later on on PlayStation 4. In 2020, as a farewell message for the beloved console, the same studio released The Last of Us 2, one of the best games ever created for PS4.

The first details on the HBO series of the same name were posted online in March of this year. At the time, it was just a matter of signing a contract between Naughty Dog and HBO, without the details of the partnership being very clear.

As for the production part of the new show, the screenplay and the position of creative director will be occupied by Neil Druckmann. He also created The Last of Us for consoles. Because he needed a man anchored in quality television content, the producer position will be occupied by Craig Mazin, known to the general public after creating Chernobyl. Sony PlayStation Production will produce the future series.

The adventures that will come to the screen will be deduced from what happened in the first game of the series. If you haven’t played The Last of Us, it’s mostly a zombie story – “The Infected”, in an apocalyptic future where most of the population no longer lives.
