Tron CEO Justin Sun has recently revealed details of Tron's "secret project" at the launch of August 31 Tron Virtual Machine, officially announcing Project Atlas. The new project will see Tron's blockchain integrate with the recently acquired BitTorrent platform.
Project Atlas is set up to connect the BitTorrent peer-to-peer network with Tron's blockchain, establishing a "token in-client" economy to develop a new "borderless" "that aims to address the problems presented from the current models of distribution of the paradigm content of the BitTorrent technology

During a detailed decomposition of Project Atlas at the launch of the Tron Virtual Machine, Sun revealed the specifications of the new BitTorrent initiative. Using a set of BitTorrent protocol extensions, Project Atlas will encourage active participation in the distribution of BitTorrent content by rewarding users who generate torrents with tokens.
Users are also able to contribute to the project's Atlas ecosystem by infusing storage and bandwidth, improving torrent availability and lifespan. The central concept of Project Atlas, according to Sun, draws from the statements of Satoshi Nakamoto on the value of transferable token proof of work published in the Mailing List of Cryptography in 2008. The pseudonym of progenitor Bitcoin stated that I tokens PoW must exploit the network effects of a large-scale network, such as a "file-sharing network similar to BitTorrent."
In his explanation of the architecture of Atlas, Sun noted that a new custom token solves the existing limits of the BitTorrent network, which allows the 100 million users of the platform to exchange value in a completely new way on a global scale .
It is interesting to note that the project's Atlas ecosystem does not integrate mining . Users participating in the project atlas ecosystem exchange tokens on the basis of the sources provided. The Project Atlas platform is also compatible with all BitTorrent clients currently in use.
Tron Development Surges Forward
In addition to the announcement of Project Atlas, Tron announced the launch of the platform's Virtual Machine which, according to Sun, could potentially see Tron's ability to increase to more than 1 million transactions in one day.
